On Friday morning we're off first up the Wendover Arm, then down to Marsworth for friday night, then over the next few days up to Buckby where Herbie will stay for a few weeks before we head off down the Nene for the fens and the Ouse.Neil Corbetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06198251427537653059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20974756.post-13827298708214583192009-04-22T12:21:00.000+00:002009-04-22T12:21:00.000+00:00That is a pity we are just outside the marina. We've just finished the whole slipway business with Koos's barge, but in our yard, you have to do it all yourself. I've got my own barge to do in two weeks. I'll also be keeping thumbs toes and fingers crossed for a sound hull. Good luck with phase 2 on Friday. I'm away till next Tuesday, but will catch up with your travels then.Vallypeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08309284606572565277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20974756.post-12978006264054271722009-04-20T21:56:00.000+00:002009-04-20T21:56:00.000+00:00yes the stove is against a bulkhead, it's at the e...yes the stove is against a bulkhead, it's at the end of our central saloon and backs on to the bathroom. The chimney doesn't really obstruct the view significantly. The roof box does a bit but not so much that it is a problem. It all comes down to how high the steering deck is compared ith the roof. Our roof is only just over waist height when you are standing on the rear deckNeil Corbetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06198251427537653059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20974756.post-28951669945909265902009-04-20T21:17:00.000+00:002009-04-20T21:17:00.000+00:00I've just noticed your unusually central chimney, ...I've just noticed your unusually central chimney, Neil. Great for bridges and tunnels, but isn't it always obstructing your view forwards from the steering position? I presume your stove is against a bulkhead.

Glad the blacking's going well.Halfiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00167481543065324357noreply@blogger.com
