Oh dear!

We spotted this shiny new sign today opposite the entrance to Packet Boat marina and adjacent to a canal bridge. How can a sign get carefully erected and then accepted by the customer like that?? Do you think someone ought to tell the owners it has a slight flaw?

Having just checked Wikipedia, I find that Brig de Yard was an early french nobleman, who in his latter years lived on one of the many canals in France - hence his nickname of 'Canal Brig'. Nice to see him remembered...

As the saying goes...LOl! and and even loudr LOL for Simon. It's just strange enough to be the real reason....though still a tad unlikely..

"Brig de yard" - oh yeah, Simon, it all makes sense now! Isn't that something unpleasant that canal rappers do to each other????

ps. mind you with the spelling I've seen on some forums maybe the sign is exactly as it was ordered :-)
