Ready for the big day

Well, big fortnight actually. Tomorrow afternoon we collect the paint, then move onto the boat to take her up to the wet dock at Cowley, and Saturday morning at 9am, the doors open and in we go with an army (well 4) of wonderful friends to whom I am more grateful than I can say.

Here we are entering the dock last time we used it.

Are we ready? Well, as ready as we'll ever be. Provided we don't blow a fuse with all the angle grinders, drills and sanders going, we ought to be able to make great progress with the rubbing down and derusting. The weather forecast looks quite good and we should have good light and the right temperatures to let the paint flow. Night time temperatures don't look so hot though, so we have to be beware of condensation, and we may get cold sleeping in the Dandy even though it is well insulated.

I hope to keep blog posts going with a full photographic record of progress, so stay tuned and wish us luck.
